‘Affiliate Highlights’ Highlight: The Victoria Chapter

Our newly released Annual Report 2011-2012 features highlights from our affiliates across the country. In the coming days we will be featuring each of them on our blog. Today we showcase the awesome Victoria ChapterIn the words of Chapter President, Kate Andrzejewski, the Victoria, BC Chapter has had a very successful year. The Chapter was very pleased to welcome many new members and to hold several successful events. In November, Kate organized a successful silent auction with the help of Fawn Engel and Bob Rogers. Chapter members enjoyed an afternoon of family fun at Langford Lanes bowling alley in February; and in May, they traveled to Wildplay outdoor reaction park where several young people conquered their anxiety about zip lining! In August, the Chapter once again gathered at the Victoria Water Ski Club for a day of tubing and fun on Shawnigan Lake. Thanks to the hard work of Allison McLeod and Jonathon Berry, everyone in the Chapter stayed up to date and organized via regular emails and great newsletters. Several other fun events are already planned for the upcoming year including gymnastics, geocaching, and a second trip to Wildplay.
