WHAT IS TS AWARENESS MONTH
Every year, Tourette Syndrome (TS) Awareness Month runs from May 15 – June 15, and is an annual global initiative to recognize and to raise awareness for Tourette syndrome, a poorly understood, heavily stigmatized neurological disorder that affects as many as one in 100 Canadian children and adults. Tourette currently has no cure.
To celebrate this initiative, Tourette Canada has coordinated the illuminations of various landmarks across Canada the color teal for Tourette Syndrome Awareness. Set right in the middle of Tourette Syndrome Awareness Month, in the last week of May, the following landmarks will be lit to symbolize the occasion.
